A full day to get season-ready: talks on risk and decision-making, backcountry travel, snow science and human factors from speakers across the country, useful at every level of experience. Presented by the American Avalanche Association with Mt. Bachelor.
The line-up includes forecasters from the Northwest Avalanche Center and the National Weather Service, COAC's own forecasters and board, and ski BASE jumper Matthias Giraud. Lunch is provided, and there's a raffle to close the day.
